What the agent does
Proof from real users helps launch visitors trust the production site, and fake or unattributed proof destroys that trust the moment someone checks. Build a testimonial section from real quotes I give you, with names, roles and sources, stored as data so it is easy to keep current.
1. Collect the quotes with me
Ask me for the quotes and their sources (launch comments, support emails, reviews, social posts), and confirm I have permission to show each with the person's name. Do not take quotes from anywhere I have not given you.
2. Store them as data
Put testimonials in one data file or table: quote, name, role or company, avatar (optional, with permission), source and its link, and date. Short quotes work best; trim only with "...", never change meaning.
3. Build the section
A responsive wall or carousel that shows each quote with its person and a link to the source where it is public. Place the strongest two or three near the main call to action on the landing page and the rest on their own section or page.
4. Structured data, honestly
Do not add
RevieworAggregateRatingmarkup for testimonials you chose yourself; Google treats self-selected reviews on your own site as not eligible. Use plain HTML with<blockquote>and<cite>.
Done means
- Every testimonial is real, permitted, and has a name and source.
- Testimonials live in one data file or table.
- The section works at phone width and links to public sources.
- No Review or AggregateRating markup is added for self-selected testimonials.
Questions
Can I add star ratings markup to my testimonials?
Not for quotes you picked yourself. Google's guidelines exclude self-serving reviews on your own site from review rich results, and misuse can earn a penalty.
Can I use launch comments as testimonials?
Yes, if the commenter agrees. Ask them, and link to the comment so readers can see it is real.
How many testimonials do I need?
Three good, specific ones beat twenty vague ones. Specific outcomes ("cut our invoicing time in half") persuade more than praise.
Does this prompt add links to Aback Launch to my site?
No. Nothing in the prompt mentions Aback Launch or asks your agent to link to us. The only exception is an optional badge step, which stays off unless you tick it. Some prompt libraries slip their own link into your codebase by default; we think that should always be your choice.
Which coding agents does it work with?
Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline, and any agent that can read your project and edit files. You can copy it as a plain prompt, save it as a Claude Code skill or a Cursor rule, or add it to AGENTS.md.
Is it safe to run on my real codebase?
The prompt makes the agent read first, show a plan and wait for your approval, and it forbids touching secrets, deploying and deleting data. Still review the changes and run your tests before you deploy, as with any change.
