What we accept

Aback Launch lists software products. These are the rules every listing is reviewed against.

Effective Date: October 24, 2026

What we list

Products people can sign up for, download or use online, made by the people submitting them:

  • Web apps, SaaS and AI tools
  • Mobile and desktop apps, browser extensions and plugins
  • Developer tools, APIs, SDKs and open-source projects
  • Digital products such as templates, courses and games, when they are the maker's own

What we do not list

  • Local services and trades: towing, plumbing, cleaning, moving, salons, clinics, law firms
  • Factories, manufacturers, wholesalers and suppliers of physical goods
  • Gambling, betting and casinos, adult content, payday loans, replica goods
  • Pages that resell or wrap someone else's product as if it were yours (for example “Use Model X online” for a model you did not build)
  • Sites that do not work, are under construction, or are a sign-up form for a product that does not exist yet
  • A second listing for a product that is already listed: relaunch it instead

How to write your listing

  • The name is your product's name, not a page title or a list of keywords.
  • The tagline says what it does in one sentence.
  • The category is the one a visitor would look in. “Open Source” means the code is public, and the repository is linked.
  • Claims are true today: prices, platforms, numbers and screenshots are of your own product.
A listing that is clear and accurate is also the one search engines and AI assistants quote, so these rules are on your side.

How review works

A person reviews every free listing before it goes live, usually within 3 to 5 business days, and emails you the decision. If something needs to change, we say what, and you can edit the listing and send it back.

Paid launches go live on the day you choose without waiting in the queue. They are held to the same rules: a paid listing that breaks them can be edited or taken down, as the Terms and the Refund Policy describe.

Links to your site are dofollow once the Aback Launch badge is verified on it.

Appeals

If you think a decision is wrong, reply to the email that told you about it, or write to us. A person reads every message.
