Terms of Service

By accessing or using Aback Launch ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Aback Launch is a curated startup discovery platform where founders can submit their products, gain visibility, and build authority. The platform provides startup listing pages, voting, categorization, and SEO-optimized profiles.

To submit a startup or interact with certain features, you must create an account using a supported authentication provider (Google or GitHub). By registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms.

By submitting a startup, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the founder, co-founder, or an authorized representative of the startup
• All information provided is accurate, truthful, and not misleading
• The startup does not violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• You have the right to submit the logo, images, and any other content associated with the listing
• The startup is not involved in illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive activities

We reserve the right to:

• Reject any submission that does not meet our quality standards or guidelines
• Remove or modify listings at any time for any reason
• Change the status of a listing (e.g., from Featured to Free)
• Request additional verification or documentation

Aback Launch offers different launch plans, including free and paid options. Each plan provides different levels of visibility and features. The specific features of each plan are described on our pricing page.

• Free: a launch page, category listing, voting, a founder profile and basic analytics. We pick your launch day and email it to you.
• Fast Track: everything in Free, plus priority review. You launch on the earliest open day, or on a later day you pick. It does not include a homepage placement.
• Featured: everything in Fast Track, plus a homepage placement, full analytics and a mention on social media and in the newsletter. You pick your launch day.
• Relaunch: a new launch day for a listing you already have, keeping the same public URL, with priority review. Votes start again from zero in the weekly ranking. It does not include a homepage placement.
• Every listing links to your website. The link is dofollow when an Aback Launch badge is verified on your website, and nofollow without one. Paying for a plan never changes the link. A free listing whose badge is missing for 14 consecutive days is removed.
• Advertisements (In-feed and Sidebar ads) are separate paid products, sold by the week, and are always labelled Sponsored.

Paid plans, advertisements and add-ons are sold and processed byDodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. Charges appear under Dodo Payments, and Dodo handles payment processing, applicable taxes and receipts. Purchases are not non-refundable as a rule: refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy.

Aback Launch runs a referral programme. When a founder you refer publishes their launch on Aback Launch, you are credited with referral credits. Referral credits are applied automatically as a discount against your next purchase on Aback Launch, up to the amount of that purchase.

• Credits are awarded when a referred founder's launch is published, not when they sign up.
• Credits apply to a future purchase. They are not cash, they are not transferable, and they cannot be redeemed for anything other than a purchase on Aback Launch.
• If a referral is reversed (the referred launch is removed, or its payment is refunded or charged back), the credits awarded for it are reversed too.
• We may change or end the referral programme. Any change applies to credits awarded after it takes effect.

An approved public listing links to its founder's website with a dofollow link when a visible Aback Launch badge has been verified on that website. Without a verified badge the link isnofollow: the listing is still published, but it passes no SEO authority. Paying for a plan never changes the link'srel. The badge must stay live; we re-check it weekly, and a free listing whose badge is missing for 14 consecutive days is removed. Moderators may also downgrade an individual listing's link tonofollow for quality reasons, and the listing owner is told the reason. Advertisements are always markedrel="sponsored" and never pass link equity.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or spam content
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform
• Attempt to manipulate voting or ranking systems
• Circumvent or disable any security features of the Service
• Use the platform to distribute malware, phishing links, or harmful content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Scrape or harvest data from the Service without authorization

The Aback Launch platform, including its design, code, branding, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without prior written permission.

You retain ownership of the content you submit (logos, descriptions, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your submission as part of the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aback Launch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aback Launch and its team from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Active startup listings may be retained in an anonymized form.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Aback Launch operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
