What winning launches have in common
0 launches that finished in the top three of their week, against 21 that did not. Updated daily.
Each group needs at least 10 launches before we call anything a finding. The numbers below are a preview until then.
Readiness of winners and the rest
The readiness score adds up what makes a listing easy to understand and quote: a one-line definition, facts, an FAQ, screenshots, links. The top three of each week had a median of 0; the rest, 5.
Side by side
| Measure | Top three | Everyone else |
|---|---|---|
| Median listing readiness score | 0/100 | 5/100 |
| Have a one-line definition | 0% | 0% |
| Have an FAQ | 0% | 0% |
| Have three or more screenshots | 0% | 0% |
| Have a demo video | 0% | 0% |
| Median description length (words) | 0 | 24 |
| Median upvotes | 0 | 2 |
Which day winners launched
Share of top-three launches by launch weekday (UTC). The weekly race runs Monday to Sunday, so earlier days have more time to collect upvotes.
How we measure
- Every live launch whose launch week has closed is counted once. “Top three” means it finished first, second or third in its week.
- Listing measures are read from the listing as it is today, so a founder who improved their page after launch counts with the improved page.
- This is correlation, not cause: complete listings and launches that win may both come from founders who prepare more. Still, every measure here is in your control.
