What IndexNow does

IndexNow is a protocol supported by Bing, Yandex, Seznam, Naver and others: when you publish or change a page, you ping one endpoint and every participating engine hears about it. Instead of waiting to be crawled, new pages can be picked up within hours.

You prove the site is yours with a key: a text file at the root of your domain whose name and content are the key. Google does not use IndexNow; for Google, keep your sitemap current.

Questions

Does Google support IndexNow?

No. Bing, Yandex, Seznam, Naver and Yep do. Google discovers pages through crawling and sitemaps.

How many URLs can I send?

Up to 10,000 per request, all on the same host as the key.

Should I ping every page every day?

No. Ping only new, changed or deleted URLs.

Does this tool send my URLs?

It checks your key file. The request to send URLs is shown for you to run, so you control what is submitted.
