Learn from the page that outranks you
When a competitor ranks above you for the search you care about, their page is the best brief you will get. Comparing the basics side by side shows quickly whether they cover more ground, structure it better, mark it up with schema, or simply load faster.
Do not copy their page. Use the gaps to decide what your page is missing for the reader, then do it better.
Questions
Which metrics are compared?
Title and description length, H1 and heading counts, word count, internal and external links, images and missing alt text, structured data types, canonical, and server response time.
Is word count a ranking factor?
Not directly. A big gap in length usually means the other page covers subtopics yours does not.
Does it compare backlinks?
No. Backlinks need a link index; check domain authority with the domain authority checker instead.
Can I compare more than two pages?
Run the comparison again with another competitor; two at a time keeps the table readable.
